Commissioner of External Affairs
The Commissioner of External Affairs is responsible for the communication and relationship maintenance between the association and the Faculties. Through this communication, the Commissioner of External Affairs creates exposure for FAM to consequently find potential partners and collaborations. Furthermore, the Commissioner of External Affairs is responsible for the external representation of the association, meaning serve as a representative of the association in relation to/in regards to external contacts. Within this role, you work closely with your fellow Board Members and Committee Chairs in order to realize the requisite connections. Additionally, you are in close contact with the Marketing Committee Chair and closely oversee the Marketing Committee to ensure everything goes smoothly.
Specific job duties:
- Actively search for and initiate with potential partners and collaborations related to D&I
- Overseeing the acquisition committee
- Maintaining relationships with the Faculties, Study- and Student associations as well as other external partners
- Attends events of the external partners
- Communicating with fellow Board Members and Committee Chairs
- Be the contact person for questions and communication related to external partners
Requirements:
- Affinity with Diversity & Inclusion
- Organizational experience
- 8 – 16 hours per week available
- Available for the whole academic year 2
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in English (both written and verbally)
- Professional, communicative and proactive demeanor
- Knowledgeable on how to initiate and maintain relationships with external partners
- Good time management skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
