F.A.M. processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide them yourself. Below you will find an overview of the personal data that we process:

– Date of birth

– Address data

– Phone number

– E-mail address

– Date of registration

– Student number

– Bank account information/IBAN

– Gender

– study

– Other personal data that you actively provide, for example by creating a profile on this website, in correspondence and by telephone

It is possible that for activities that you sign up for additional information is needed, like your resume. If this is the case, you will be informed before registering for the activity.

When registering your membership, you agree on the storage of this information. Next to permission, these data are necessary to perform the contract. F.A.M. is in the possession of personal data you have shared directly with us. If you wish for this data to be deleted, you can send an e-mail to contact@befam.nl.

For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data

F.A.M. processes your personal data for the following goals:

– Handling your payment

– Sending our newsletter and/or advertising brochure

– To be able to call or email you if necessary to perform our services

– To add you to the WhatsApp group

– To comply with the requirements towards the Vrije Universiteit

– To offer you the opportunity to create an account

In addition, we are legally obliged to have our administration in order for our tax return, which must contain name and address details and transaction details.

Automated decision making

F.A.M. does not make decisions based on automated processing on matters that can have (significant) consequences for people. These are decisions taken by computer programs or- systems, without a human being there (for example, an employee of F.A.M.).

How long we keep personal data

F.A.M. does not store your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected, unless we’re under a legal obligation to keep the data.

For the administration of our alumni your name, e-mail address and registration date will be stored after the termination of the agreement. Other personal data will be erased within a year after termination of the agreement.

Sharing of personal data with third parties

Under circumstances it is possible that F.A.M. will share data with third parties. For a study association, it is required to share personal data with the Vrije Universiteit. Besides that, sometimes companies will request information about the participants when they visit. If you would wish for this type of sharing no to happen, you can request this upon the time of applying. If you do this, your data will not be shared with the third party. Under exceptional circumstances, it can be a legal obligation for F.A.M. to share information with the authorities. Under no circumstances your personal data is being shared with third parties for commercial goals. We make our best efforts to protect your privacy.
