Join us for an evening of reflection, dialogue, and critical thinking as we explore the work of Tommie Shelby and his concept of the “dark ghetto.”
Shelby invites us to see ghettos not merely as geographical spaces, but as “places” where multiple forms of oppression intersect. He situates them within the racist history of the United States and frames ghettos as a structural symptom of racism rather than individual failure.
Together, we will discuss:
✨ The ethical consequences of ghettos
✨ Historical forms of resistance
✨ Strategies for political and collective resistance
This is a dialogue evening, not a lecture, space for questions, exchange, and shared reflection.
